 ITINERARY

Day By Day

Journey with us through the Jordan on this seven day adventure. See a day by day breakdown of our itinerary.

Amman

Once you arrive in Amman, Jordan (AMM), we will meet you outside baggage claim and transport you to the hotel in Amman. You will have the day to rest, or explore the city if you are up for the adventure! We will also begin our tour with an authentic Jordanian dinner this evening.

The Red Sea, Aqaba

In the morning, we will journey south to the Red Sea where we will be staying at a 5 star, luxury waterfront hotel. You will have time to swim and snorkel in the Red Sea as well as explore the city of Aqaba. In the evening, there will be teaching by the sea where one of the greatest miracles ever happened, the parting of the Red Sea. We will start our Exodus journey here, out of Egypt to the Promise Land.

Wadi Rum

We leave the Red Sea and journey along the Kings Highway, one of the oldest spice routes in the world to Wadi Rum. There, we will be spending the evening at a Bedouin camp in one of the most captivating deserts in the world. You will experience Bedouin hospitality by enjoying a traditional dinner cooked in the ground (a method that is used by bedouins for thousands of years). You will catch a glimpse of what wilderness felt like where the Israelites wandered and sleep under the stars where Moses communed with God. There will also be opportunities to hike and ride camels through the desert.

Petra & Madaba

The ancient Nabatean city of Petra, known in the Bible as Sela, is one of the 7 New Wonders of the World. It is located in Edom, one of the places where the Israelites wandered through, next to the valley of Moses. Walking through Petra, you will feel like you stepped back in time. It is truly a breathtaking experience. From Petra, we will then drive to Madaba, which is Biblical Moab and settle into our hotel for the rest of the evening.

Mount Nebo to the Jordan River

In Moab, you will learn about many biblical accounts from the birthplace of Ruth to the beheading of John the Baptist. Mount Nebo will be our first stop of the day, a glorious view where Moses saw the Promise Land but was not allowed to enter. There, we will have a time of teaching and worship, then drive the journey that Joshua and the Israelites took, from Mount Nebo down to the Jordan river to enter their promise land. On our drive down overlooking Jericho, you will gain an understanding of the 40 year Exodus the Israelites walked to inherit their promise. This journey will then lead us to ‘Bethany beyond the Jordan’ where John baptized Jesus. We will also go to Elijah’s hill where he ascended in a chariot of fire and then end our day by spending the evening at a luxury hotel on the Dead Sea, overlooking the lights of Bethlehem and Jerusalem.

Dead Sea to Decapolis

Enjoying our hotel, we have time to float in the Dead Sea, rest and spend time with the Lord. You will learn about the surroundings, Sodom, Gomorra and Masada. We will drive by Lot’s tomb and the believed location where his wife turned to salt. From here, we journey north through the Jordan Valley and explore Jarash, a Roman city which was part of the Decapolis (10 cities) and referenced by Jesus in scripture. We will then journey to Ajloun (Part of the Decapolis), to the small village of Tishbi, which is the birthplace of Elijah. In the beautiful woods of the north, we will learn about the many biblical battles that took place there, where King Saul was buried, Elijah’s hideout at the brook Cherith and more.

North Jordan

On our last day, we will journey to the northern point of Jordan, at the border of Israel and Syria, where we will overlook the Golan heights and the Sea of Galilee from the town of the Gadarenes. This is where Jesus multiplied the loaves and seven fish and fed the 4,000. There we will have a time of teaching from the life of Jesus and worship. After lunch overlooking the Sea of Galilee, we will then head back to Amman, settle into our hotel for the evening. There will be an option to explore the land of the Ammonites, also known as Philadelphia which is modern day Amman. An ancient city surrounded by modern day civilization. This day concludes the tour, you may fly out late this night or the following day.

“I recommend my dear friend Daniel Salameh as an excellent teacher, guide, and anointed minister. He led me through Jordan as we stopped and prayed at Biblical sights that were profoundly meaningful and stirred faith and vision afresh for what God did in the past, He wants to do again. Jordan is an amazing country with rich spiritual heritage that would enrich all who go with Daniel. I highly recommend taking Journey the Jordan tour with Daniel!”

“As an author and biblical historian,  my extraordinary spiritual encounters in Jordan have meant so much to me, and I would not want to experience them without the accompaniment and guidance of Daniel Salameh. I would strongly suggest that everyone who loves Bible land tours to choose Jordan and choose Daniel Salameh to lead you on a spiritual journey.”
